By studied at BINUS University was a ticket to the professional work. From my past experiences, I found that it more easily if we simply said that "Hi, I study Computer Science at BINUS". It continuously gave me opportunity to join various organizations and jobs. Especially when I would to start my internship at Astra Credit Companies, the IT management itself become more friendly when I and my friends said that we studied at BINUS. And then, it impacts again when I finished my final thesis. Before graduated, someone from SIGMA (part of Telkom) asked me to join them in their telco consulting as junior consultant, a division that never recruit fresh graduate. So, I become the youngest at that team. It was simply because I joined first batch of Applied Database class at BINUS University and taken SAP courses at BINUS Center. Besides of that, various experiences that I learnt by joined various activities (organizations, competitions, BINUS entrepreneurship, personal development skills from SAC, etc) gave me added values to enter the professional work. For myself, BINUS was my gateway. All added values that I learnt for BINUS still help me to survive in my career journey, until now I'm being selected as one of Coca-Cola Graduate Trainee Program (A program for those who will be trained for management level) at Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia. Suprisingly, I'm the only one who graduated from BINUS while others graduated from ITB, UI, UGM, USU, and overseas for bachelor graduates. So now, I'm in my journey to prove that BINUS graduates can survive as potential leaders too in Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia.
Once again, thank you for BINUS University that gave me not only technical knowledges but also opportunities to develop my soft skills that help me to achieve not only jobs but also passion in career.

Let me begin by quoting the father of modern management, Peter Drucker;
"Quality in a product or service is not what the supplier puts in. It is what the customer gets out and is willing to pay for. A product is not quality because it is hard to make and costs a lot of money, as manufacturers typically believe. This is incompetence. Customers pay only for what is of use to them and gives them value. Nothing else constitutes quality." You are probably asking yourself why would I begin with this quote, well the answer is simple; The Double Degree Programme (Industrial Engineering and Information System) in Bina Nusantara is pure QUALITY and adds true VALUE.
This course has changed my life. I never really considered myself to be an "engineer" and wanted to focus more on business (as opposed to the technical side of things) - from investments to the importance of intellectual capital (People). The programme has opened a myriad of business career opportunities and for that I am truly grateful.
The lecturers from both industry and academic backgrounds really shape the programme, sharing their personal experiences; their achievements and pitfalls are invaluable business and life lessons. The class comes from all walks of life, geographically and academically, creating a dynamic work and social environment. So all in all, it has been a very busy years in BiNus University but when half way through the programme I couldn't have imagined 'not doing the double degree programme’, I knew I had made the right choice. Good luck to all future Binusian; prepare to join the world-class university, work hard but make sure you have a good time doing it.
